  I can't criticize this - it is called "hedging your bet", and The Watchtower Bible & Tract Society does it all the time, 24/7/365.

  She is balancing her fantasy of Paradise with rational, real-world planning.

  I wish her success.

  Too few JWs do this.

  Amazing Kingdom Hall transformation

  so, on tues august 2/16 i happen to be driving down westminster highway in richmond, b.c.

  [a suburb of vancouver] and notice activity at the kingdom hall at shell ave. hmm, i say to myself, they must be having a 'work bee' or some such thing.

  i continue on to work.

  i had a couple of young brothers at my door and one used the word "channel" in referring to how the gb gets inspired.

  i was pretty surprised at that.

  i've been "out" for a long time and i'm very out of the loop..

  In the WTB&TS Hierarchy, the position is called a "Ministerial Servant."

  Ain't no way in hell the Watchtower will ever have Ministerial Servants who can't pass the testicle test.

  How would the world be different if there were no JWs?

  i think this would be a great question to ask active jws.

  they love to say how the world would be so different if everyone was a jw.

  however, what if we flip the question and ask, would the world really be much different if the jw faith never came into existence?

  When did the governing body go from 12 to 7 members?

  i have been out and away from that cult since 2001. back then there were 12 members of the governing body, and now i'm learning that number has come down to 7. when did this change take place, and what was their reason for dropping the number?.

  hi all, i've been away from the forum for many months, perhaps 9mths?

  well if you were around back then you might remember the title of this post in reference to happening upon two brothers on separate occasions and their reactions to me being 'not what i expected of jw's.

  something unexpected happened a few days ago.
